October 5, 2011 Shawnee Ridge Gas Smell - Dave Martha, from Marco Drilling, (owner and caretaker of the well on the Sokol property) installed an odor depressor box on the top of the tank about 8 months ago to help eliminate the gaseous smell. He did this as a result of the many calls the Fire Department received and answered this past winter in Shawnee Ridge. Dave believed this would be an adequate solution, but is meeting with his partner next Thursday 10/13/11 to discuss other ideas and concepts that will help eliminate what the residents are smelling. Some additional FYI when the Fire Department was out at Shawnee Ridge, specifically last winter, they took several sniff detection readings. None of which were close to any dangerous levels. They were barely registering on the meter.
September 29, 2011 Krally and the Township Code Enforcement Officer attempt to have Dave Martha, from Marco Drilling, inspect the Sokol well for leaks. The constant smell of natural gas is of the utmost concern to our friends and neighbors. Thank you Mrs. Chen for helping us with this. Your call to Peoples Natural Gas last night helped elevate the issue. We are all most concerned as our children are continuously playing in the neighborhood. To date, no return call from Mr. Martha.

September 13, 2011 Supervisor Krally invites Lorena Prato for a discussion of her 9/10 email. Stay tuned.
August 18, 2011 Reelection of Darrin Krally While no challengers have surfaced, there is a rumor that a move is underway to unseat me at this time. While I give rumors no attention, my thought on this is quite simple; if the Lord wants me to remain in the seat, it will be. If He does not, then I will move onto other challenges. Good operates in the light, while evil hides in the dark, remaining cowardice in nature.
August 17, 2011 Oil and Gas Rumors To clarify and diffuse the rampant rumors about drilling taking place within the Township, specifically on Rich Hill Road; ABSOLUTLY NO MONEY is made by the Township. We DO NOT make a PENNY off of these wells. Our yearly Auditors report can verify this for any of those that are being mislead by the agenda oriented rumor mill. The only people making money on shallow drilling, are both the drilling company and the owner of the property. Lastly, we do not have any Marcellus drilling/gas wells within our Township. Please call me anytime to discuss. Thank you. Darrin
August 17, 2011 - CURRENT DRILLING ON RICH HILL ROAD - This well will be owned by Marco Drilling. They are leasing the property from Nancy Burtoft. It is a shallow well, 3,400. They are drilling for gas, but they may also encounter oil. If you would like to express your opinion on this matter, please contact me at home anytime.
